As we look back on our Tahltan Luncheons in 2025, we reflect on a year filled with connection, learning, and community spirit.
Our Luncheon in September
Our September luncheon holds special meaning, as it was the Band’s last luncheon shared with Auntie Bertha Louie. Since then, our community has lost another cherished Elder. Auntie Bertha and her family will always be in our hearts as we remember her presence, knowledge, and kindness.

Our Luncheon in December
Community members gathered to share good food, great conversations, and meaningful moments connecting through the Tahltan language. It was especially heart-warming to see Elders, community members, and young learners spending time together and immersing themselves in the beauty of our language.
These gatherings remind us that language lives through everyday practices, and it has been such a joy and an honour for the Iskut Band to host our luncheons throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this luncheon such a warm and joyful experience.
We look forward to hosting more language events in the future.
